Geoff Visits Michael Clarke Duncan in hospital

Actor MICHAEL CLARKE DUNCAN was given a boost as he recovered from a heart attack on Friday (13Jul12) after receiving a visit from his former TV co-star GEOFF STULTS.

The big man’s girlfriend, Omarosa Stallworth, initially saved the former bodyguard’s life by performing CPR after finding him in a state of cardiac arrest in the early hours of Friday, and she was able to resuscitate him.

The 54 year old was then taken to a nearby hospital and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit, and he was subsequently deemed “stable”.

Duncan was well enough for visitors later on Friday - Stults, his co-star in The Finder, headed to the medical facility to boost his friend’s spirits.

As he left the hospital, Stults told website TMZ.com, “I saw him, he’s looking good and that’s really all we know right now. (They’re) running tests. He’s looking fine.”

There was a rumor going around that Michael had died; it is in fact FALSE.

Love that they’ve remained to be close even after the show’s cancellation. I’m gonna miss this show.

Michael Clarke Duncan Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Early Friday morning Bones spin-off actor Michael Clarke Duncan was found by his girlfriend, Omarosa Stallworth, in a state of cardiac arrest, reports TMZ. Omarosa administered CPR to resuscitate him before paramedics took him to the hospital. Those at the scene say that her quick-thinking potentially saved the 54-year-old actor’s life.

No word yet on what condition caused the heart attack, but he is reported to be in stable condition in a Los Angeles hospital.

In addition to his work on The Finder, Michael is best known for his roles in The Green Mile, Sin City, and Daredevil.

Update: David Boreanaz tweets his support for Michael’s recovery, saying “Pray for our friend and brother. Send lots of light and energy people.”

Bones Creator Unsure if Bones or Finder fans wants to see The Finder on Bones again

Question: Any chance some of the Finder cast might land on Bones next season? —Joel
Ausiello: Don’t think the thought hasn’t crossed the mind of the man in charge of both shows. “I would love that so much,” says Hanson. “But you would have to make sure it wasn’t self-indulgent. And I don’t have a sense right now how much the Bones audience would like to see that. And I don’t know if the Finderaudience would want it to happen. But I personally think it would be great.” Hanson concedes that he’s still “exceedingly depressed” about The Finder‘s cancellation, confessing, “It’s hard to let go.” He also says that after some “initial wariness,” the Bones cast warmed up to “the Finder upstarts,” adding, “They all became very fond of each other. David [Boreanaz] really liked working with Geoff [Stults]. They got along terrifically well, so it would be fun to have them on [Bones].”

I really want to see The Finder on Bones; that’s my ONLY saving grave since it was canceled. I know Bones has a lot on it’s plate right now but also we have to remember that Bones usually wraps up their story-lines rather quickly.

Come on Hart Hanson; give us Finder fans some closure!!!

The Stults Talk About Playing Brothers On The Small Screen

THE FINDER: Geoff and George Stults Talk About Playing Brothers — Again — On-Screen

As you may have seen yesterday, Fox canceled THE FINDER. The timing was bittersweet as tonight’s episode was set to be just the season finale.

I was on set when they filmed the hour and sat down to chat with THE FINDER star Geoff Stults (Walter) and his brother, George, who just happened to be guest-starring in the hour as Walter’s brother…

George, a few weeks before it was announced you were guest-starring, there was speculation that you’d come on the series. Was this something they had been talking to you about for a while.
George Stults: I knew zero amount. I usually don’t tell him anything, but for once, he didn’t tell me anything.
Geoff Stults: I got him on this one.
George: I think I was just doing my normal, recreational activities like I usually do because I don’t like to work. And I got an email from my representation going, “Just so you know, you’re going to be on THE FINDER.” [Geoff laughs] I’m not even kidding.
Geoff: Ha ha!
George: I was like, why wouldn’t he even say anything to me about it?
Geoff: I wanted him to be surprised. I knew when this [shoot] was going to be, and I knew he was planning [things].

And how is it to play brothers for television again?
George:
It’s a complete joke. It shouldn’t be allowed. But if they’re going to give us an opportunity…it’s just too much fun. We were raised to be best friends, but our parents effed up because they wanted grandchildren by now. So us getting to work together is a plus, plus, plus.

So what can you say about their relationship?
Geoff: It’s pretty similar to what we do on the reg, on a regular basis. [THE FINDER] creator Hart [Hanson] heard some stories about George — they hadn’t met, actually — and he kind of ran with it.
George: And once I read the character — he’s a musician teaching music overseas — I was like, how am I even going to come close to being that guy?

Were there any character quirks where you were like, “Oh my God, I can’t believe Geoff told Hart that?”
George: I guess Hart asked him if either one of us played an instrument. We got kicked out of band in junior high — I played the trumpet, he played the clarinet and the saxophone. After two years?
Geoff: We did not get kicked out, we got asked to not return. They waited until summer to say, “We think it would be better for everyone involved if you didn’t come back.” That’s a true story.

So are you making a triumphant return to music on THE FINDER?
George: Yeah, by carrying around instruments!

Well, this does seem like a more serious than normal case for Walter. How is his family’s return impacting him?
Geoff: It definitely takes Walter on a bit of a darker path. The relationship he has with his mother and his father is a little bit different and they’ve been estranged. They haven’t seen or been around Walter since his injury. He’s different to them; they actually like the new Walter better. There’s actually a line in the script where it’s that he used to walk around like he had a stick up his ass, but now he’s just a little bit more foot-lose and fancy free. We’ll see a little bit like the old Walter in this episode. We’ll see him react like a little bit more like a caged animal when his family is being threatened; he reacts a little bit differently. He’s never worried about himself, but he worries when his family gets threatened. He’s quick to the punch.

And George, what’s your character Langston like?
George: He’s the good son, a super nice guy, a decent human being. So my relationship with everyone is golden.
Geoff: In one of the original drafts, in order to get me to find [our] mom, we box and he beats me — and then I punch him in the stomach when he’s not looking later, which is very similar to real life.
George: But they cut it out. Which sucks.

You would have liked the idea to kick each other’s butts and get paid for it?
Geoff: Absolutely.

And how is the reunion with their mother?
Geoff: It’s a lot of emotions. A lot of emotions. Walter’s not sure — he wants to stay mad at her, but at the end of the day, she’s his mommy.
George: They haven’t seen mom in a while. And Langston is so happy they found her because he wouldn’t have been able to do that. [Walter] is the finder.

Is the reunion in time for their father to say goodbye?
Geoff: You just going to have to tune in. [George laughs]

Since the brothers were estranged, what’s Langston’s reaction to Isabel when he meets her?
George: That’s a great question…and I don’t know the answer.
Geoff: We’re so driven to find our mom, we don’t delve into that too much.

Do the brothers at least end the episode on a good note?
George: We always end things on a good note.

The Finder has been…canceled. :(

I regret to inform my followers and fans of the Fox show; The Finder.

It was safe to say that; most of us probably saw this coming; it had yo-yo ratings…but it’s still a blow.

I don’t think The Finder deserved to get canceled; I think it’s hard for any show to come on during the mid season while everyone already has shows they’re going to watch then to move it so early was a mistake by Fox.

- Finding The Finder

Fox Renews ‘Touch,’ Cancels ‘Alcatraz’ and ‘The Finder’

UPDATED: Ahead of its upfront presentation, the network has picked up another season of the Kiefer Sutherland drama from Tim Kring, while ending two freshman dramas.

Fox has kicked off its renewals, giving a second season to Touch and canceling freshman dramas Alcatraz and Bones spinoff The Finder after one season.

The Finder, from Hart Hanson and starring Geoff Stults, failed to pull viewers of the Fox flagship to it on Thursdays at 9 p.m. against heavy competition in the hour from established hits Grey’s Anatomy and The Office and fellow freshman entry Person of Interest. After averaging about 6 million viewers in the slot, the drama was moved to Fridays at 8, with a recent installment notching a series low.

Geoff Stults & Michael Clarke Duncan on ‘The Finder’

The stars of Fox’s drama tell us about their show and how Duncan blew his chance to be on “24.”

If you watch “Bones” then you’ve probably already seen “The Finder.” After debuting on “Bones” as a backdoor pilot, “The Finder” debuted earlier this year as defacto spinoff series.

Geoff Stults plays Walter Sherman, a man with a gift for locating lost items and Michael Clarke Duncan is his close friend and muscle, Leo Knox. Fox presented “The Finder” to the Television Critics Association and after the panel, I went up to Duncan and Stults to ask some questions. They riffed for a while and Duncan revealed that he is obsessed with trailers.

CraveOnline: How did it feel to lie down on a runway in the pilot?

Geoff Stults: Isn’t that kind of fun? It was a trip. That was in the middle of the Everglades and people were saying they saw alligators running around on it. It was actually built as an emergency landing strip for the shuttle so it was extra long and it was super wide. It was a trip just to lay down there and do that thing.

CraveOnline: Did you feel the history when you were on the ground?

Geoff Stults: You just feel kind of exposed because it’s the middle of nowhere. I liked it, it was a fun thing. And what I did too, at lunch I stole one of the picture cars, the Porsche. It was a mile runway and in a mile I saw how fast I could get it going and I think I was up to 120. They weren’t happy about it but I had a great time.

CraveOnline: What were your favorite objects to find?

Geoff Stults: That’s the great thing about the show is we can find anything and go anywhere. We’ve found a sweaty pair of socks. I’ve found a serial killer, I’ve found Cinderella, I’ve found lost record tracks. It’s been all across the board so every new episode is fun. This voodoo doll we’re doing right now, it’s been great.

CraveOnline: How important was doing the episode of “Bones” to introduce “The Finder”?

Michael Clarke Duncan: I just like hanging around David Boreanaz’s trailer. His trailer’s humongous. Ours are like VWs. His is like a Bentley on steroids. It is huge, it is nice and we just go there and rub it. We rub his trailer and we creepily stand outside and go, like, “One day…”

Geoff Stults: Then they call the “Bones” security and we go, “Oh sh**, go, go, go, go.”

Michael Clarke Duncan: No, it was important. David Boreanaz is actually a very good director and he directed one of our episodes. Excellent director, knew exactly what he wanted. We never had long days with David. He was great, he knew exactly what he wanted and he’s a fantastic director.

Geoff Stults: As far as the importance of doing “Bones,” we joke around but all kidding aside, we refer to “Bones” as varsity and we are JV. We are born from “Bones.” We’re not “Bones.” I think part of the reason that we’re not “Bones” is the actors on “The Finder” aren’t smart enough to say the words that the actors on “Bones” have to say. It’s too much so we have to fill it up with some action so we don’t have to talk as much.

Michael Clarke Duncan: But you know what, if you think about it, if “Bones” does not come back, where those trailers go? We get the trailers.

Geoff Stults: Why move ‘em? We can just push them on over into our slots.

Michael Clarke Duncan: That’s right. If they don’t come back they’ve gotta do something with those two trailers. I got David’s. I like his.

CraveOnline: Would “The Finder” make a good crossover with “Touch”? You could help Kiefer find some of the people he’s looking for.

Geoff Stults: Hey, whatever to do with Kiefer I’ll do it. First of all, I keep having to shoot this down because he wants to do it so badly. He wants to do a crossover with “Glee” because he wants to do singing and dancing.

Michael Clarke Duncan: I want to do a solo song and dance.

Geoff Stults: This guy can dance. For a big man, he can move. Free to the foot is what we like to call him.

Michael Clarke Duncan: I think I’d do pretty good on “Glee” singing.

Geoff Stults: Hell yeah, you’ve got a good voice.

Michael Clarke Duncan: I know.

CraveOnline: Michael you’ve been saying for years you wanted to do television, but you wanted to do “24.” How did that not happen? Can’t your agent just say, “We have an Oscar nominated actor who wants to do your show?”

Michael Clarke Duncan: I’ll tell you, I blew “24.” I blew that. I went over to have a meeting with the guys, [Howard] Gordon and those guys and on the inside I’m saying, “God, this is CTU!” but outside I’m being cool.

Geoff Stults: He’s pretending like he didn’t want it. No, I’m good.

Michael Clarke Duncan: Yeah, but all of a sudden a white van pulls up and to me Jack Bauer got out. It was Kiefer Sutherland but to me I saw Jack Bauer getting out and I reached over to him and grabbed his hand and just kept shaking it like this.

I said, “Boy, I cannot wait to work with you. Remember when you shot Roger Cross? He’s a friend of mine. We play in an e-league together.” I went through all this stuff and he just was staring at me. On the inside I’m thinking, “Calm down, Michael.”

Geoff Stults: Creep, creep.

Michael Clarke Duncan: After that I never heard from the people from “24” and then it went off the air.

Geoff Stults: That makes me so happy. Thank you for sharing that with me.

CraveOnline: How long was the process of looking for a series for yourself?

Michael Clarke Duncan: I wanted to do one with Geoff. He called me and begged me. He was unemployed. He was homeless out on the street and he was camping in front of my house.

Geoff Stults: I was living in a box. That’s the truth on that one.

Michael Clarke Duncan: So I just did it for him. I didn’t want to do it. It was all for him.

Geoff Stults: That’s a true story. Okay, we’ve got a couple questions for you guys. What kind of batteries are in them remotes?

CraveOnline: AAAs.

Geoff Stults: All right, good.
